Xi’an, China, December, 2009 - Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd. releases its high-power single emitter diode laser available at 808nm wavelength with 10W output power. The device was fabricated using 200μm chip with a cavity of 4mm length and the output power larger than 10W. The new product can provide brightness four times higher than that of the common 10W 808nm single emitter diode lasers produced from 400μm chip in the current market, which greatly improves the pumping efficiency and fiber coupling efficiency. Although the 4mm long cavity could lower the power conversion efficiency, it will dramatically enhance the stability and life-time of the device. Reliability is always at the highest priority in the product quality standards of Focuslight. Focuslight’s 10W single emitter semiconductor lasers were packaged using its unique F-mount hard solder at high temperature, characterized by a power conversion efficiency of? 50% and the spectral width (FWHM) less than 2nm.
